Job summary

State of South Carolina in Greer, SC is seeking a Titling & Licensing Specialist III to issue licenses, registrations and titles. You will handle customer inquiries, verify documents and process payments in a fast-paced, policy-driven environment.

The role requires meticulous recordkeeping, teamwork and the ability to administer CDL knowledge tests. Training and relocation flexibility within 30 miles may apply.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent plus clerical experience.
• Ability to administer CDL tests after completing trainer courses and exams.
• Must pass a nationwide criminal background check with fingerprints.

Responsibilities

• Examine, accept, prepare, enter and print documents for licenses and registrations.
• Coordinate with banks, lienholders, insurers, and dealerships on licensing needs.
• Process motor vehicle registrations and verify for correct customer numbers.
• Determine eligibility per SC laws and DMV policies.
• Administer knowledge tests for various CDL classes as required.
• Verify eye screenings and review applications for fraud or restrictions.
