Job summary

AFC Automotive Finance Corporation is hiring a Title Specialist for our Carmel, IN location. You will be the primary contact for vehicle title issues, manage post-sale activity, verify accuracy, and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.

You will provide weekly consignor reports and assist with title processing within SLAs. You will support Title Clerks, resolve title problems, and maintain SOP documents.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in title work required.
• Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, time management and ability to problem solve.
• Must type 55 WPM and have strong 10-key typing skills.
• Notary public license or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists Title Clerks with title processing.
• Focus on achieving prompt resolution of title problems with our client and/or buyers.
• Prepares weekly reports for our clients showing title status.
• Request duplicate titles if needed according to OPENLANE policy.
• Achieve timely return of title on voided sales to reduce loss.
• Overcome objections and provide positive solutions.
• Assist with updating SOP documentation/training manuals.
• Scan titles into electronic format.
• Create shipping labels and send titles to buyers daily via Federal Express.
• Ensure titles are delivered to the correct dealer or buyer.
• Run title reports and respond to title inquiry emails.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Title Specialist that will act as a support partner by being the primary contact for issues regarding vehicle titles, managing all post-sale activity, verifying accuracy and ensuring compliance in any and all questionable or problematic title documents. This individual must know, practice, and ensure that company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws are followed at all times. The Title Coordinator is responsible for providing weekly reports to consignors, assisting with title processing, ensuring that titles are processed within our service level agreements.

You Will

• Assists Title Clerks with title processing
• Focus on achieving prompt resolution of title problems with our client and/or buyers
• Prepares weekly reports for our clients showing title status.
• Request duplicate titles if and when needed according to OPENLANE policy
• Achieve return of title on voided sales in a timely fashion to reduce loss to seller and/or OPENLANE
• Overcoming difficult objections and turning into positive solutions for all parties
• Assist with keeping SOP documentation/training manuals up to date
• Scans titles into electronic format
• Creates shipping labels, packages, seals, and sends titles to buyers daily via Federal Express
• Ensures titles are delivered to the correct purchasing dealer and/or buyer
• Responsible for running title reports and assisting with title inquiry emails

Location & Hours

Location: This role will be onsite at our Carmel, IN office. Working hours are 9am - 6pm EST.

Must-Have's

• 2+ years of experience in title work required
• Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, time management and ability to problem solve
• Conflict resolution and customer service skills required
• Must type 55 WPM and have strong 10-key typing skills
• Notary public license or ability to obtain a notary public license within 6 months of hire

Nice to Have's

• High School Diploma or GED required with some college preferred
• Basic knowledge of Google workspace applications
• General automotive knowledge
