Job summary

Adams County seeks a Title and Registration Technician I to process titles, registrations, and related tasks for the public in person, by phone, and by email. The role supports county offices and may require travel to different Clerk and Recorder locations.

The position emphasizes accurate taxes/fees calculations, cash handling, and customer service. Overtime, evenings, and weekends may be required in this busy office environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write at a high school level.
• One year of Customer Service experience is required.
• Ability to become deputized.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Colorado Secretary of State Notary certification.
• Must pass a criminal background check (MVR check if County vehicle used).
• Bilingual in any language is highly preferred; Adams County offers bilingual pay.

Responsibilities

• Process title applications and issue motor vehicle registrations per statute, rules, and policies.
• Explain taxes/fees and ensure accurate calculation.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external partners.
• Perform VIN inspections in designated areas.
• May be required to work at multiple Adams County Clerk and Recorder locations.
• Cash handling and daily cash drawer reconciliation.
