Job summary

Utah State University seeks a Deputy Title IX Coordinator II (Investigator) to lead investigations into discrimination and sex-based harassment across its campuses. The role includes reviewing complaints, interviewing individuals, and preparing detailed reports while coordinating with the Civil Rights & Title IX Office and traveling to state locations.

Applicants should have a JD or a related bachelor’s degree with relevant experience and must be able to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and five years of relevant work experience or Juris Doctor degree and one year of relevant experience is required.
• Ability to travel to various locations across Utah.
• Knowledge of Title VI, VII, IX, VAWA/SaVE, FERPA, and the Clery Act.

Responsibilities

• Receive incident reports of discrimination and/or sex-based harassment and respond appropriately.
• Conduct prompt, equitable, and impartial investigations including interviewing parties and gathering information.
• Complete preliminary and final investigation reports and review other staff reports.
• Exercise independent judgment in response and resolution of incident reports.
• Facilitate alternative resolutions and participate in administrative hearings.
