Job summary

Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD seeks an Assistant-Title I paraprofessional at Smith High School to assist in preparing and managing classroom activities for at-risk students under the supervision of a certified teacher.

Responsibilities include tutoring, classroom support, library/media center assistance, translation, parental involvement activities, and instructional support during Title I funded activities for the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's Degree or 48 college credits required.
• SBEC Paraprofessional Certification or eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-on-one tutoring when scheduled.
• Assisting with classroom management and organizing instructional materials.
• Providing instructional assistance in a computer lab.
• Conducting parental involvement activities.
• Providing instructional support in a library or media center.
• Acting as a translator.
• Providing instructional support under supervision of a certified teacher.
• Uphold and enforce school rules and policies.
