Job summary

Dallas Independent School District seeks a Title I Teacher Assistant (Grades 9-12) for a grant-funded role to support teachers with intensified learning experiences and non-instructional duties.

The position involves tutoring, supervising students, maintaining records, and assisting with materials; travel across campus may be required. A High School Diploma or USA equivalency and a Texas educational aide certificate are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or USA equivalency required.
• Associate Degree or 48 college credits or pass academic assessment.
• Valid Texas Educational Aide certificate.
• Six months knowledge/skills from work or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in intensified learning experiences and relieve the teacher of non-instructional duties.
• Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Maintain discipline and supervise students across campus areas (hall, lunchroom, gym, etc).
• Assist with copying, organizing, and filing materials for distribution to students.
• Keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Participate in staff development and faculty meetings.
• Help decorate the classroom for events and support special activities.
