Job summary

The Leona Group in Detroit is seeking a Paraeducator to provide supplemental instructional support to eligible students under the Title I program. You will work with teachers to deliver targeted interventions in small groups or one-on-one settings.

You will report outcomes to the Title I or General Education Teachers, assist in assessments, maintain student records, and participate in team meetings such as RTI or data teams to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or an associate's degree or equivalent demonstrated knowledge.
• Experience in tutoring, teaching, or similar instructional support is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to student needs and school guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted interventions to students in small groups or one-on-one as directed by teachers.
• Report outcomes of interventions to the Title I or General Education Teacher with daily student progress notes.
• Administer assessments and screenings to inform eligibility and intervention planning.
• Attend parent/teacher conferences to discuss student performance and behavior with teachers.
• Maintain student files and ensure confidentiality per regulatory guidelines.
• Keep activity logs and time/effort documentation as required.
• Maintain ongoing communication with Title I and General Education Teachers about progress and concerns.
• Support teams such as RTI, data, PBS, or school improvement teams as needed.
• Assist in communicating and upholding behavior expectations per the school plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
