Job summary

LEONA MICHIGAN EDUCATION GROUP is seeking paraprofessional staff to provide supplemental instructional support to students in Detroit. You will implement interventions under guidance, monitor progress, and help communicate with parents and teachers.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Title I teachers, assisting in data collection, progress monitoring, and maintaining confidential student records in a compliant, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of college study or an associate degree required.
• Knowledge of reading, writing, and mathematics instruction supportive techniques.
• Experience tutoring, teaching, or similar instructional support.
• Willingness to learn and be flexible.

Responsibilities

• Deliver interventions to students based on instructional plans.
• Report outcomes to teachers with daily student outcome updates.
• Administer assessments and screeners to inform decisions.
• Attend parent/teacher conferences as needed to support communication.
• Maintain student files and confidentiality per regulations.
• Maintain activity logs and time/effort documentation.
• Communicate progress and concerns with teachers.
• Participate in school teams (RTI, data team, PBS, etc.).
• Uphold behavior expectations and maintain a safe classroom environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
