Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Default Title Curative Specialist to facilitate clearance of title defects in default, foreclosure, REO, and related mortgage matters. You will evaluate title searches, identify defects, and determine curative actions per investor guidelines, coordinating with clients and vendors to ensure timely resolutions.

The role requires 3–5+ years in title or mortgage servicing, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on-site at our Fort

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3-5+ years of title, curative, default mortgage servicing, or financial services experience preferred.
• 2+ years of Curative, REO, or Foreclosure experience preferred.
• Familiarity with BKFS LoanSphere FC/BK (LPS) platform preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review title searches for vesting, liens, encumbrances, and defects.
• Assess curative referrals and determine efficient resolution strategies.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, lenders, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare and record corrective documents and monitor case progress.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely status updates in systems.
