Newrez seeks a Default Title Specialist to facilitate the order and fulfillment of title products, collaborating with clients, vendors, title companies, and internal teams to ensure timely processing and quality control. The role focuses on delivering accurate title search packages that meet service levels while supporting mortgage operations.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in title or related financial services, strong knowledge of title search components, and excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of title, mortgage, curative, or financial services experience required.
• 1+ years of Curative, REO, Foreclosure, or Purchase Title experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review title search products for quality, completeness, and accuracy, including vesting, liens, encumbrances, legal descriptions, taxes, and related matters.
• Investigate, research, and resolve issues identified within title search packages prior to client delivery.
• Work with outsource partners to prepare and quality control title search packages for customer delivery.
• Make revisions and updates to title search packages upon client request.

Position Summary

The Default Title Specialist is responsible for facilitating the order and fulfillment of various default title products. This role collaborates with clients, vendors, title companies, and internal departments to ensure timely processing, quality control, and delivery of title search packages while maintaining established client service level standards.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

Title Review & Quality Control

• Review title search products for quality, completeness, and accuracy, including but not limited to vesting, liens and encumbrances, legal descriptions, taxes, and related matters.
• Investigate, research, and resolve issues identified within title search packages prior to client delivery.
• Work with outsource partners to prepare and quality control title search packages for customer delivery.
• Make revisions and updates to title search packages upon client request.

Order Fulfillment & Case Coordination

• Facilitate ordering and tracking of default title products to ensure timely turnaround.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to meet established service level standards.
• Submit invoices for services rendered in accordance with client requirements.
• Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others.
• Performs related duties as assigned by management.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of title, mortgage, curative, or financial services experience required.
• 1+ years of Curative, REO, Foreclosure, or Purchase Title experience preferred.
