- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and actionable title curative plans that identify title defects, explain the issues, outline specific corrective actions, and identify the documentation necessary to resolve each issue.
- Conduct in-depth research of deeds, easements, mortgages, judgments, probate records, plats, surveys, and other recorded instruments.
- Make efforts to resolve gaps in title, inconsistencies, conflicting conveyances, and potential ownership issues.
- Prepare accurate, well-organized, and thoroughly documented title reports supported by appropriate research and recorded instruments.
- Independently investigate complex title matters, including heirship, probate, easements, and ownership discrepancies.
- Coordinate with project managers, attorneys, title companies and other parties to facilitate resolution of title defects.
Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)
- Perform detailed QA/QC reviews of conveyance documents, title curative plans, and other project documents and deliverables produced throughout the organization, as assigned.
- Review documents for accuracy, completeness, consistency, formatting, and compliance with established company and client requirements.
- Identify errors, omissions, discrepancies, conflicting information, and deficiencies that could affect the quality or reliability of work products.
- Cross-reference information between documents, supporting records, and project files to verify accuracy and consistency.
- Verify names, dates, legal descriptions, parcel information, ownership details, calculations, and other critical data.

- Ability to critically review and verify complex documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Strong analytical, research, organizational, and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while managing multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with online county records, appraisal districts, title research platforms, Microsoft Office, and electronic document review tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience performing QA/QC reviews of title reports, real estate conveyance documents, or other project deliverables.
- Experience with complex title issues involving easements, partial acquisitions, and ownership disputes.
- Familiarity with Texas real property records and title examination practices.
Quality, accuracy, and attention to detail are non-negotiable. We are seeking someone who takes ownership of their work, understands the importance of thorough research, and recognizes that even small errors or omissions can have significant consequences. We are not looking for someone who simply identifies title problems. We need someone who can thoroughly investigate those problems, develop clear and practical curative plans, and ensure that all assigned work products are accurate, complete, consistent, and professionally prepared. The successful candidate must be comfortable reviewing not only their own work but also the work of others, providing constructive feedback, and helping maintain a high standard of quality throughout the organization.
PLEASE NOTE
This is not an entry-level or training position. Applicants must have at least five (5) years of verifiable professional title examination experience and demonstrated experience developing title curative plans. Applications that do not clearly establish these qualifications will not be considered.
