Job summary

Randy Wise Auto Group in Fenton, MI is seeking an experienced Title Clerk to manage the critical title and registration process for new and pre-owned vehicle sales. You will ensure accurate records and serve as the main liaison between sales and accounting for title status updates.

The role requires a strong eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and familiarity with Michigan SOS rules and dealership software such as Dealertrack and CDK. DMV online filing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in automotive title processing or a related administrative role.
• Comprehensive understanding of Michigan Secretary of State title and registration regulations.
• Proficiency in dealership management software such as Dealertrack or CDK.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities to meet strict processing deadlines.
• Prior experience with DMV online filing systems is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Process and finalize all vehicle title and registration paperwork for new and pre-owned vehicle sales.
• Maintain accurate digital and physical records for all vehicle transactions to ensure state compliance.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for the sales and accounting departments regarding title status updates.
• Resolve any documentation discrepancies with customers or lenders promptly to prevent delays.
• Issue and verify temporary registrations and license plates for customers picking up their vehicles.
• Prepare and submit all necessary tax and title documents to the appropriate state agencies.
