Job summary

ATI Specialty Materials in Monroe, NC seeks an Engineer to optimize titanium melt technology and enable yield, cost and productivity improvements across assets. You will partner with Operations and the technical organization to quantify process variation and validate improvements.

The role requires an advanced degree and experience in manufacturing processes, SPC, data dashboards, and cross-functional leadership to drive sustainable manufacturing enhancements.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering.
• Experience with SPC, control charts, process capability, and designed experiments.
• Ability to analyze complex processes and translate data into actionable improvements.
• Strong communication to shop-floor teams and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen KCC and critical-variable definition.
• Enable live digital SPC visibility with dashboards and limits.
• Lead focused process analysis using historical and real-time data.
• Convert analysis into implemented improvement with cross-functional teams.
• Build repeatable Process Excellence methods and coach teams.
• Operate as a cross-functional technical resource across Operations, Engineering, Quality.
