Job summary

Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. in Frederick, MD seeks a scientist to execute experiments and support organoid modeling initiatives within the LASP.

You will set up protocols, maintain equipment, record data, and report findings to supervisors. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree (or four years of related experience) and at least two years in tissue or biomedical engineering, with proficiency in MS Office and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Possession of Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or four years of related experience.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of tissue engineering or biomedical engineering principles.
  • Hands-on experience performing basic laboratory techniques relevant to tissue engineering/biomedical engineering.
  • Experience executing laboratory protocols, collecting and documenting data, and maintaining laboratory records.

Responsibilities

  • Executes experiments and/or assays to accomplish scientific objectives defined by a program scientist.
  • Sets up and conducts experiments using protocols specified by a program scientist.
  • Maintains and operates sensitive biomedical equipment.
  • Compiles, analyzes, and reports scientific data to laboratory supervisors.
  • Keeps detailed records of laboratory operations and data collection.
