Job summary

S&S Firestone, Inc., headquartered in Lexington, KY, seeks a Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver for its Knoxville, TN operation. This role requires manual labor and lifting tires up to 150 lbs, supporting both warehouse and driving duties.

You will load/unload tires, pack and palletize orders, verify counts, and operate equipment safely. The driver responsibilities include delivering with a 16–28 ft box truck, collecting COD payments, and providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have the desire and ability to work in a warehouse environment.
• Must be able to lift and/or move tires with or without mechanical assistance.
• Frequent bending, twisting and lifting.
• Must be willing, and have the ability to, operate all warehouse related equipment.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
• Good safety record (no more than 3 violations in the last 3 years).
• Valid driver's license - in good standing.
• Forklift license is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service oriented environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Commitment to being on time.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and tally tires to and from carriers.
• Select, pack, count, and palletize tires according to binlocator system.
• Check and verify accuracy of tire orders and counts.
• Operate order picker, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely.
• Maintain inventory control documents and participate in inventories.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Safely operate 16' to 28' box truck for product delivery.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and record maintenance logs.
