Job summary

Texas Disposal Systems in Creedmoor, Texas is seeking a Tire Technician I to assist in monitoring and maintaining the tires on company vehicles under close supervision. You will change, repair, and rotate tires, document tire shop operations, and ensure fleet readiness while following safety procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, training in tire repair within 90 days, and basic mechanic tools.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of tire repair operations training within the first 90 days of employment.
Some mechanic tools from an approved list of tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Wear PPE as required.
Under close supervision will change, repair and rotate tires; document wheel torque sequences; conduct and document fleet checks; maintain service truck readiness; request parts and tires; respond to offsite or route service calls.
Document tire shop operations and track time in accordance with company procedures.
Maintain repair order documentation to include repair description, parts used, and repair times.
Perform monthly inventories as required.
Immediately report any safety violations and correct unsafe acts or conditions.
Comply with company safety policies and with applicable state and federal regulations.
Attend safety meetings.
May be required to drive a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) not to exceed 26,000 pounds.
Other duties as assigned.
