Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Texas is seeking a tire technician to mount, balance, rotate, and repair passenger to industrial tires. You will troubleshoot commercial vehicles, perform fleet inspections, and drive company service trucks as needed.

The role requires lifting 30–250 lb tires, flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a pre-employment drug screen. Overtime may be required. Benefits include health ins., 401(k) matching, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen
• Must be 18 years or older; 21 years or older to drive
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
• Experience with heavy-duty/commercial tires preferred, but not required
• Ability to lift/move tires weighing 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical assistance
• Able to perform repetitive and sustained physical exertions, including bending, lifting, kneeling, and exposure to vibrations
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Overtime maybe required.

Responsibilities

• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair all types of tires: passenger, light truck, large truck, and industrial
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial vehicles including
• Perform fleet inspections and routine maintenance checks
• Operate company vehicles safely, following all traffic and speed regulations
• Respond to service calls using a service truck when necessary
• Load/unload inventory and assist with physical stock counts
• Use and maintain TPMS systems
• Follow safety procedures, training guidelines, and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
