Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain and repair equipment to ensure reliability.
• Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
• Learn basic computer skills to document daily work, procurements, and repair status.
• Attention to detail and safety awareness in a fast-paced shop.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate with co-workers.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Wear PPE as required.
• Report safety violations and correct unsafe acts or conditions.
• Comply with safety policies and regulations.
• May drive a vehicle up to 26,000 GVW.
• Assist maintenance staff with repairs as directed.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as directed.
• Document repair operations and time tracking.
• Learn basic mechanical techniques and procedures.
• Requisition parts as necessary.
• Conduct failure analyses and report findings to maintenance management.
• Wash trucks and equipment; keep shop clean.
• Handle small tasks like changing light bulbs and wiper blades.
• Attend training sessions for ongoing education.
• Other duties as assigned.
