Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is seeking an Industrial Tire Department Manager in the Itasca, IL area to lead daily tire department operations across a territory. The role requires coordinating schedules, purchases, pricing, invoicing, and customer support while guiding technicians to deliver safe, high-quality service and achieve profitable results.

The ideal candidate will have experience in service management or operations, strong organizational and communication skills, and a willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Experience in service management, operations, leadership, or a related field.
• Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in industrial tires, commercial tires, construction/OTR tires, material handling equipment, or a related industry preferred.
• Ability to lead teams, prioritize work, and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily department operations, including scheduling, inventory management, purchasing, pricing administration, invoicing, work order processing, and customer support.
• Lead, coach, and develop technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.
• Monitor department performance, profitability, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure proper control of tire assets and materials.
• Review and manage work-in-progress (WIP) to support timely completion of jobs and invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate resources to support service schedules and customer requirements.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
