Job summary

Sonic Automotive, Inc. is seeking a Tire and Alignment Technician for Land Rover Santa Monica. The role reports to the Service Manager/Director and focuses on tire and alignment services for luxury vehicles in a busy dealership environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of automotive technician experience, holds a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Salary range is $21 to $25 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of previous Automotive Technician experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Examine vehicle and diagnose necessary repairs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards.
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
