Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a friendly and professional server at Kimpton Fort Lauderdale Beach to provide exceptional guest service in a fast-paced dining environment. You will greet guests, take and relay orders, and ensure accuracy and satisfaction throughout service.

Responsibilities include handling POS transactions, promoting menu items, and maintaining cleanliness and compliance while delivering a memorable guest experience. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Must be willing to pitch in and help coworkers; be a team player.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
• Greet guests courteously and explain specials/promotions.
• Record and repeat guest orders for accuracy.
• Input orders into POS for kitchen processing.
• Deliver orders with condiments and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Abide by state and corporate requirements for serving alcohol.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Promote desserts or specialty coffees on request.
• Close out checks using POS procedures.
• Present the check to guests promptly.
• Maintain regular attendance and be available to work as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
