Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Payroll Administrator at the Wisconsin project site to plan, set up, and schedule all payroll activities. You will supervise timekeeping staff, oversee payroll documents, and ensure adherence to company policies, IRS regulations, and EEO requirements.
Typical duties include calculating hours, entering payroll data, delivering paychecks, and generating required reports.
Responsible for the planning, set-up, and scheduling of all payroll related activities at the project site. Duties include supervising the preparation of all payroll documents, following timekeeping methods in accordance with company administrative and personnel policies and procedures, supervising the maintenance of all payroll records, supervising the maintenance of active and inactive payroll and personnel files, and making recommendations in regard to hiring, terminations, salary adjustments, and training of timekeeping personnel. Typically supervises three or more timekeepers and the preparation of required reports. Requires a minimum of 3 years timekeeping experience, computer experience, and up-to-date knowledge of benefit plans, IRS requirements/regulations, and EEO policies.
May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
