Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking an estimator to prepare complete estimates for assigned projects. You will review specifications, drawings, and historical data to determine scope, quantities, and labor. The role requires planning work, selecting tools, and maintaining organized estimate files.

The position involves coordinating with teams, applying shop mathematics, and adhering to safety guidelines. Typical schedule is Mon-Thu with some overtime; pay range provided is posted.

Qualifications

SUMMARY

Prepares complete estimates for assigned project(s) and determines project plans and specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures
  • Estimates worker-hours and materials required to complete the job
  • Reviews specifications, drawings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimates
  • Maintains files of working documents and back-up for estimate figures.
  • Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
  • Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites
  • Follows all hazardous waste handling guidelines.
  • Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
  • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.

Work Schedule: Mon - Thurs (6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) Some overtime will be required

Pay: $37.16 - $40.22
