Job summary

Timberlyne is seeking an Architectural Designer to turn sketches into precise design deliverables for timber-framed projects. The role focuses on 3D modeling and BIM workflows using Revit, Cadwork, and AutoCAD, delivering detailed construction documents for residential and commercial builds.

You will collaborate with Sales, Digital Fabrication, Project Management, Engineering, Estimation, and Production to ensure accurate material takeoffs, shop drawings, and timely project progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year drafting experience and degree (preferred, not required).
• Background in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related technical programs.
• Proficiency in reading construction documents and 3D modeling.

Responsibilities

• Convert concepts into accurate design deliverables for timber-framed projects.
• Develop detailed 3D models with timber framing following post-and-beam or mortise-and-tenon joinery.
• Prepare architectural documents for residential and commercial projects.
• Support cross-functional teams and attend customer meetings to present progress.
• Create material lists and BOMs for procurement and estimation.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Production to ensure design feasibility.
