Job summary

Dal-Tile in Houston, part of Mohawk Industries, is seeking a Showroom Design Consultant to provide interior design guidance, assist customers with product selection, and use the showroom to drive sales. The role requires a four-year degree or equivalent experience, strong sales and communication skills, and familiarity with design trends.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in a related field, four years of related experience, or a combination of a two-year degree with two years of related experience.
• Proficiencies in sales, customer engagement, design and interior design trends.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• MS Office suite and customer management tools experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides interior design advice and product expertise, facilitates tile and stone selection, and supports project development to finalize selection and sales.
• Logs client showroom visits and preferences in the CRM system and coordinates follow-up to close sales.
• Prospects for new business, conducts outside sales calls when needed, and logs visits/appointments in the system.
• Maintains showroom samples, merchandising, and coordination with suppliers for new products and launches.
• Plans and hosts showroom tours and industry events to drive customer sales; requires evening and weekend hours.
