Job summary

White Horse Catering is seeking a Server to provide table service to restaurant patrons, take orders for food and beverages, and deliver orders to tables to ensure a pleasant dining experience.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, presenting menus, answering questions, taking and delivering orders, and maintaining cleanliness; prior serving experience is preferred and shifts may include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to listen and follow directions.
• Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
• Ability to follow safety rules and guidelines throughout the kitchen and restaurant.
• Ability to operate point-of-sale system.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests with as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.
• Distributes menus and presents the daily specials.
• Answers questions regarding the menu.
• Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen.
• Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to guests.
• Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to guests satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
• Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals.
• Prepares guests checks and collects payments.
• Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
