Job summary

Wet Willie's in Honolulu is seeking a friendly, customer-first server to greet guests, describe menu items, and take orders with accuracy. You will assist in setting up sections, maintain a clean dining environment, and ensure guests have a positive experience.

You will explain ingredients, daily specials, and wine options as appropriate, while coordinating with the kitchen and service team to deliver timely meals and beverages.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the restaurant for dining service by setting up section, including linens, silverware, glassware.
• Greet all guests in a warm, personal, friendly manner.
• Review menus with guests and answer questions, offering descriptions and recommendations.
• Inform guests of daily specials and pricing when not listed on menu.
• Explain how items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
• Take guests' food and beverage orders and enter orders into the computer for kitchen transmission.
• Check identification for alcohol service and ensure legal requirements are met.
• Serve food and beverages and perform table-side preparation as needed.
• Describe and recommend wines, present wine selections to guests, and pour accordingly.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address issues to ensure expectations are exceeded.
• Clear tables, remove dishes and glasses, and reset tables for next guests.
• Prepare and present checks, handle special requests (e.g., split checks) and process payments.
• Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, tea, tableware, and linens.
• Adhere to scheduling and attendance policies and report to work on time.
