Job summary

Barnes Aerospace, Ogden Division, seeks a Welder with TIG (GTAW) experience for a 2nd shift role. You will weld complex assemblies to plan and customer specs and set up fixtures to prepare parts for welding.

Responsibilities include measuring with calipers/micrometers, reading blueprints, maintaining safety and 6S, and supporting assembly tasks as needed. A certified welder or active pursuit of certification is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of welding in the aerospace industry.
• TIG welding experience (GTAW).
• Must have welding certification or be working toward.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to operate measuring tools and follow process controls.

Responsibilities

• Weld complex assemblies meeting station plans and customer specifications.
• Set up weld and tooling fixtures to prepare assemblies for welding.
• Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to verify tolerances.
• Print station planning, record throughput, complete routers and orders accurately.
• Maintain safety standards and 6S in the work area.
• Keep area clean and safe; assist other department members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
