Aerotek is hiring for a TIG Welder in Plymouth, MN. This position focuses on TIG welding, including overhead welding, with heavy involvement in hydraulic pump liners, formed tubular assemblies, and manifolds.

Most work centers on round thin-wall tubing made of mild and stainless steel, with a contract-to-hire path. Candidates should have 2+ years of TIG welding experience or an equivalent technical degree, be able to read blueprints, and be willing to work overtime.

Job Title: TIG Welder

Job Description

The primary responsibility of this position is TIG welding. The role includes overhead welding and working primarily on hydraulic pump liners, formed hydraulic tube assemblies, fabricated tubular parts, tube manifolds, custom tube assemblies, and manifolds. Most welding will be conducted on round thin-wall tubing, with materials consisting of approximately 80% mild steel and 20% stainless steel.

Responsibilities

• Perform turntable TIG welding and overhead welding.

• Work on hydraulic pump liners and formed hydraulic tube assemblies.

• Handle fabricated tubular parts, tube manifolds, and custom tube assemblies.

• Conduct welding on round thin-wall tubing.

• Perform fitting to tubings or assemblies.

• Manage high production runs with shorter average orders of 50 pieces.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of TIG welding experience or equivalent technical degree.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Willingness to work overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
