Job Description

Automation Personnel Services is seeking TIG Welders for an industrial rack manufacturer located in Chattanooga, TN. In this role, you will work on stainless steel tanks, ladders, and piping.

Pay rate: $20 and up based on experience

Shifts and Hours:

• Night shift: 3:30pm - 2:00am, Monday through Friday
• Weekend shift: 6:00am – 6:30pm, Thursday through Saturday

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings and understand welding symbols.
• Weld with TAW, GMAW & FCAW in Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel.
• Verify measurements of parts.
• Use portable grinders, hand files or scrapers, chip or grind off excess weld, slag or spatter, and operate hand scrapers, power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must pass a weld test.
• Must provide welding helmet.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds (in-office lifting assessment required).
