Job summary

A technology company is seeking a Tier II Network Technician in El Segundo, CA. The role involves installation and maintenance of LAN/WAN devices, managing incident tickets, and configuring network switches. The ideal candidate must have a TS/SCI clearance and 10 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. This full-time position requires office presence five days a week and may include some travel. Competitive pay range is offered.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in a relevant field is required.
• Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 is necessary.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time is mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
• Position requires office presence for a minimum of 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices.
• Respond to and resolve incident tickets.
• Draft and implement standard network change requests.
• Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.

Skills

Network configuration management

Incident management

Layer 1 and Layer 2 network experience

Troubleshooting layer 2 switching

Knowledge of TCP/IP and OSI model

Familiarity with CISCO and Juniper

Visio, ServiceNow, and Confluence

Education

High School Diploma and 10 years experience

Bachelor's degree and 6 years experience

Master's degree and 4 years experience
