Job summary

CyberCore Technologies is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our server and application environment. Responsibilities include system installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning to ensure availability and security.

The role emphasizes problem diagnosis, incident response, and collaboration with network, security, and help desk teams to implement improvements and maintain compliance with policies and audits.

Responsibilities

• System Administration & maintenance
• Monitor, manage, and maintain servers, operating systems, and key applications
• Apply patches, updates, and configuration changes to systems in accordance with change management procedures
• Perform routine system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning
• Provide advanced technical support for escalated issues from help desk/Tier 1 teams
• Diagnose and resolve system, application, and network-related problems
• Assist with user account management, permissions, and access controls
• Install, configure, and deploy new systems, applications and tools
• Assist in system upgrades, migrations, and integrations
• Document system configurations, procedures, and standards
• Ensure systems adhere to security best practices and organizational policies
• Help implement and monitor security controls such as antivirus, endpoint protection, firewalls, and access management
• Participate in audits, risk assessments, and remediation activities
• Use monitoring tools to track system performance, availability, and capacity
• Respond to alerts, incidents, and outages, performing root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Prepare reports on system health, incidents, and improvements for management
• Collaborate with IT teams (network, security, applications, help desk) on cross-functional initiatives and projects
• Contribute to the development and refinement of IT processes, standards, and documentation
• Provide input on technology selection and system architecture improvements
