Job summary

iT1 is seeking a Systems Engineer II for the overnight shift to monitor and manage critical infrastructure across on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will handle alerts, perform triage, and coordinate with on‑call engineers and clients to ensure service stability.

The role requires 3–5 years in infrastructure or MSP settings, strong Windows/AD, Azure, and VMware experience, plus PowerShell scripting.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive infrastructure, systems, networking, cloud, or managed-services support experience.
• Experience supporting 24x7 operations, an MSP or similar environment.
• Troubleshooting Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, networking, Azure, and virtualization.
• Experience managing incidents from alert through triage, resolution or escalation.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and follow documented procedures.
• Ability to prioritize multiple incidents and escalate when needed.
• Clear communication with technical teams, on-call staff, and clients during incidents.
• Follow technical work instructions, maintenance plans, change records, and validation checklists.

Responsibilities

• Serve as overnight escalation point for infrastructure, network, cloud, backup, and platform incidents.
• Maintain continuous monitoring coverage and respond to critical alerts within targets.
• Validate alerts, triage, resolve or escalate incidents per procedures.
• Research and document issues, communicate with clients promptly.
• Perform overnight health checks of client infrastructure and services.
• Coordinate incident response with on-call engineers, vendors, or clients.
• Provide intermediate troubleshooting of network, Windows, and Azure services.
• Execute approved maintenance windows and change activities.
• Create shift-turnover notes and ensure thorough documentation.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements.
