Job summary

The Timberline Group is seeking a Systems Administrator to test, implement, and maintain moderately complex components of the infrastructure. You will collaborate with engineering teams to deliver secure IT solutions and support disaster recovery exercises.

The role requires 2+ years of Windows server experience (2012–2019), Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and patch management. A related degree and familiarity with SCCM, WSUS, VMware, and cloud platforms are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of system administration experience with Windows server 2012–2019.
• Knowledge of Windows server technologies, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Strong analytical skills and root-cause analysis abilities.
• Understanding of operating system theory, core infrastructure, 3rd party software, and client/server hardware components.
• Experience with installing system patches.

Responsibilities

• Monitor multiple ticket/change queues.
• Work on small to large, moderately complex assignments.
• Collaborate with a team of system engineers to support IT solutions.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors and document resolutions.
• Implement change tasks including patch deployments and software upgrades.
• Create and maintain documentation for transitioned tasks and global processes.
• Serve as an internal escalation point within Platform Services.
