Position Details

• THIS POSITION REQUIRES UP TO 70% TRAVEL.

What You Will Do

As a Tier 2 AV Field Technician, you will install and manage various AV technologies at client sites. Your responsibilities include cable management, hardware installation, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and traveling extensively for project support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily reports to the Project Management team.
• Install a variety of technologies into client sites, including new builds.
• Manage cabling and plan layouts for hardware installations, including brackets and ceiling speakers, adhering to general contract requirements.
• Apply knowledge of low voltage electrical concepts.
• Possess basic carpentry and installation skills.
• Use power tools safely and proficiently.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems.
• Travel to other sites as needed for project support and installations.

Essential Criteria

• Experience with Crestron, Extron, QSYS, Cisco, or similar.
• Understanding of Signal Flow.
• Knowledge of AV rack building to AVIXA standards.
• Experience with AV cabling and connector termination.
• Strong sense of urgency, responsiveness, efficiency, and professionalism.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating independent thinking, self-motivation, and determination.
• Engagement in technical development.
• Willingness and ability to travel globally, including weekends.
• Good organization, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Desirable Criteria

• 1-3 years’ experience in the AV/VC industry.
• Knowledge of Signal flow.
• Experience with AV installation and systems like Cisco, Extron, Crestron, QSYS.
• AVIXA CTS-I certification preferred.
• OSHA10/30 certification highly desired.

The salary range for this role is $29—$37 USD, depending on experience and qualifications.
