Job summary

People, Technology & Processes is seeking a Desktop Support / Touch Labor Technician (Tier 2-3) to provide hands-on desktop, peripheral, and software support at Fort Hood, TX. The role requires imaging, deployment, relocation, and STIG-compliant configuration of end-user devices across ATEC locations, with DoD 8140/8570.01-M baseline certification prior to performance.

Candidates must hold active Secret clearance (Tier 3/T3R) or interim Secret prior to starting, and U.S.

Qualifications

• Provides hands-on desktop, peripheral, and software support.
• Imaging, deployment, relocation, and STIG-compliant configuration of end-user devices.
• Requires DoD 8140/8570.01-M baseline certification prior to performance ±6 months.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, monitors, printers, and multi-function devices.
• Image systems with current OS baseline and perform data backup and recovery.
• Apply software, firmware, and security updates including IAVAs, CVEs, and STIG settings.
• Coordinate and verify vendor warranty repairs and report actions.
• Relocate end-user devices to service desk or user location.
