Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Tier-1 IT Help Desk professional to monitor, maintain, and test physical access control, CCTV, and IT systems in support of endpoint devices. You will provide frontline user support, triage calls, and document steps before escalating to senior staff.

Responsibilities include monitoring system logs, configuring Windows, applying STIGs, updating antivirus, and supporting application installations. Flexibility for shifts and on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree or 0+ years progressive experience; or HS diploma with 6+ years progressive experience.
• Experience performing triage on system problems and resolving issues.
• Knowledge of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Basic networking knowledge: VLANS and routing.
• Experience with security electronics and access control systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 helpdesk support for IT systems and security devices.
• Triage phone calls, document troubleshooting steps, and escalate as needed.
• Monitor enterprise system status and notify senior admins of outages.
• Assist with system configuration, imaging, antivirus, and STIGs for Windows.
• Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of third-party applications.
• Document SOPs and builds; participate in preventive maintenance and logs review.
