Job summary

The France-Merrick Performing Arts Center seeks a highly organized, collaborative Ticketing Assistant to provide essential business and operational support to the Ticketing Manager. The Part-Time Ticketing Assistant provides operational and administrative support to the Ticketing Department in the successful execution of ticketed events at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, ticketing, administrative support, hospitality, live entertainment, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with Ticketmaster, Archtics, or other computerized ticketing systems is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Ticketing Department across a variety of ticketing initiatives and event-related projects.
  • Assist the Ticketing Manager with building, reviewing, testing, and maintaining ticketed events within the ticketing system.
  • Organize event information, pricing, offers, and communications to ensure accurate and efficient event setup.
  • Monitor ticket sales, inventory, and event performance; prepare and distribute sales and inventory reports throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Process and fulfill internal ticket requests in accordance with organizational policies and deadlines.
  • Respond to incoming telephone calls and email inquiries regarding ticket sales, event information, and customer service.
  • Assist with quality assurance testing of ticketing builds, promotions, pricing, and online purchasing functionality.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with data entry and reporting as needed.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Programming, Group Sales, Box Office, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate communication of event information.

Summary

The France-Merrick Performing Arts Center seeks a highly organized, collaborative Ticketing Assistant to provide essential business and operational support to the Ticketing Manager. The Part-Time Ticketing Assistant provides operational and administrative support to the Ticketing Department in the successful execution of ticketed events at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center. This position assists with event setup and maintenance, ticket inventory management, internal ticket fulfillment, sales reporting, and customer service. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced live entertainment environment. This position requires a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event needs.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Ticketing Department across a variety of ticketing initiatives and event-related projects.
  • Assist the Ticketing Manager with building, reviewing, testing, and maintaining ticketed events within the ticketing system.
  • Organize event information, pricing, offers, and communications to ensure accurate and efficient event setup.
  • Monitor ticket sales, inventory, and event performance; prepare and distribute sales and inventory reports throughout the event lifecycle.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Programming, Group Sales, Box Office, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate communication of event information.
  • Provide additional administrative and operational support to other Departments as assigned.

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, ticketing, administrative support, hospitality, live entertainment, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with Ticketmaster, Archtics, or other computerized ticketing systems is preferred but not required. Candidates with strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn new software are encouraged to apply.

  • Ability to respond to customer inquiries by telephone and email in a courteous and timely manner.

Required

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and in writing and to operate standard office equipment. The employee is frequently required to:

  • Occasionally move throughout the theatre and administrative offices to support ticketing operations.
  • Occasionally lift or carry office materials weighing up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment
