Job summary

Hale Center Foundation for the Arts and Education (dba The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater / The Ruth) in Utah Valley seeks a friendly Box Office Associate to deliver top-notch customer service and manage ticketing. This flex role starts at $14.00/hr with increases based on mastery and tenure, including weekend/evening availability.

You will handle calls, tickets, show information, and support front-of-house and data reporting using Audience View and Tessitura.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associates degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and box office services to patrons, artists, staff, donors, partners and visitors.
• Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls.
• Sell, reserve and reschedule tickets.
• Answer questions about tickets, shows and policies.
• Collaborate with other box office reps on tasks.
• Complete required training and use Audience View for ticketing.
• Prepare tickets and door reports for performances.
• Assist Front of House with customer service needs.
• Manage daily data and reporting in Tessitura.
• Receive shipments and mail daily; keep workspace clean and organized.
• Maintain a neat appearance and help with additional duties.
• Work some weekends and evenings as needed.

Valley! This position is a "flex" position which means that shifts and hours will vary based upon business needs and employee availability. Position starts at $14.00/hr., with increases available based upon mastery of skills and tenure.

Position Summary:

• Provides excellent customer and box office services to all patrons, artists, staff, donors,
  partners and visitors in a friendly and engaging manner as part of providing a high-quality
  theatrical experience and furnishing an excellent venue for artists.

Responsibilities

• Excellent and friendly customer service—be a patron advocate.
• Answer incoming calls.
• Make outgoing calls.
• Sell, reserve and reschedule tickets
• Answer questions about all theater information—tickets, shows, policies, etc.
• Work together with other Box Office Reps on assigned tasks.
• Complete required training.
• Use ticketing system (Audience View), including ongoing education in Audience View to improve
  patron experience both over the phone and in person.
• Prepare tickets and door reports for performances.
• Assist Front of House with customer service needs.
• Daily data management and reporting in Tessitura as requested.
• Receive shipments and take in and put out the mail daily.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, and other cleaning and maintenance tasks as asked.
• Maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance.
• Help whenever asked with multiple tasks.
• Expected to work some weekends and evening hours.
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Education:

• Passion for theater.
• High school diploma required.
• Associates degree is a plus!
• Cheerful and friendly with a highly personable and customer service-oriented approach.
• Effective telephone, computer, and organizational skills.

• Ability to interact effectively in a professional, diplomatic and mature manner with
