Job summary

Oak View Group in Evanston is seeking a part-time Ticket Seller to deliver outstanding customer service while accurately selling and processing tickets for athletic events, concerts, and special events. You will operate a ticketing system, process payments, and assist guests with inquiries at the venue.

The position pays an hourly rate of $20.00 and requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Able to handle cash, credit cards, and other payments accurately.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate ticketing systems.
• Strong verbal communication and clear writing for guest interactions.
• Provide professional and courteous guest service throughout the process.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days.

Responsibilities

• Sell event tickets using the venue’s ticketing system.
• Process payments accurately (cash, credit cards).
• Assist guests with ticket purchases and exchanges.
• Balance cash drawer and reconcile daily ticket sales.
• Provide venue and seating information to guests.
• Resolve ticketing issues professionally and escalate when needed.
• Follow cash-handling and financial control procedures.
• Maintain a welcoming guest experience throughout the process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00.

About The Venue

The new Ryan Field will create a world-class home for Northwestern University Athletics and a best-in-the-nation football experience for fans and players and be a year-round asset for the community.

Responsibilities

• Sell event tickets using the venue’s designated ticketing system.
• Process cash, credit card, and other approved payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist guests with ticket purchases, exchanges, and other ticketing needs.
• Balance the cash drawer and reconcile daily ticket sales in accordance with established procedures.
• Provide guests with accurate event, seating, pricing, and venue information.
• Resolve ticketing and guest service issues professionally and elevate issues as appropriate.
• Follow all established cash-handling, ticketing, and financial control procedures.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming experience for guests throughout the ticketing process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service and cash-handling experience is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn and navigate ticketing systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide professional and courteous service to guests.
• Ability to accurately handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days as required.
