Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a part-time Ticket Seller for the Greensboro Complex. You will master the ticketing system, stay current on event details, and manage seating configurations to ensure a seamless guest experience.

You will handle accurate transactions, payments, and ticket issuance while delivering excellent customer service. This role requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate/GED preferred.
• Experience working with the public and cash handling is preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a productive member of a team.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Master the operation of the ticketing system.
• Stay informed about each event's details, such as ticket prices, discounts, restrictions, and seating arrangements (reserved or general admission).
• Become well-versed in the seating charts and configurations of your assigned locations.
• Efficiently and accurately handle transactions for all events using the ticketing system.
• Accurately process payments, ensuring the correct amount is received and the appropriate number of tickets and change are issued.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing patrons' needs positively and effectively.
• Direct guests to the nearest ticket taker as needed.
• Reconcile all funds received from ticket sales at the end of each shift.
• Maintain precise and clear records of all transactions.
• Uphold confidentiality standards.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Summary

As a Ticket Seller, you will serve as a key point of information and customer service, expertly managing the ticketing system to provide a seamless experience for all guests. Your role requires a thorough understanding of each event, including seating charts and venue configurations.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00

About The Venue

The Greensboro Complex is a versatile multi building facility that serves the community of Greensboro and its surrounding areas. It hosts a wide array of events, such as athletic competitions; cultural arts showcases; concerts; theater performances; educational activities; fairs; and exhibits, as well as public and private gatherings, including conventions; convocations; trade shows; and consumer shows. It plays a crucial role as a hub of community activities and significantly contributes to the regional economy. The complex is made up of nine venues, the largest being the renowned 22,000 seat First Horizon Coliseum, which has a storied history of hosting prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships and a concert history featuring legendary artists like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, and Elvis Presley, as well as today’s biggest artists like Drake, Bad Bunny, and Taylor Swift. The complex also includes the 167,000 square foot Special Events Center, encompassing three exhibition halls, a 4,500 seat mini arena, and eight meeting rooms. Additionally, there’s the White Oak Amphitheatre, Piedmont Hall, the Novant Health Fieldhouse, the Greensboro Aquatic Center, The Terrace, the ACC Hall of Champions, and the 3000 seat Odeon Theatre. As one of the most actively booked facilities in the country, the Greensboro Complex annually hosts over 1,100 events. Its extraordinary flexibility and reputation have earned it worldwide acclaim among promoters, producers, event planners, and patrons alike.
