Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three or more months’ experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred or willingness to learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system.
• Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry supplies, food items, and other materials.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the cash register sales by taking orders, building orders, and completing the transaction.
• Build orders, prepare food, and have knowledge of all areas in the concessions operations.
• Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels and communicating low-stock items to the concessions stand manager.
• Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.
• Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly.
• Check guest’s ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for purchase of alcoholic beverages.
• Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.

Position Summary

The Concessions Worker prepares and serves concession items to guests. Ensures quality of food presentation. Utilizes a cash register and accepts payment. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.

This role pays an hourly rate of $12.00 - $14.00 and is tip eligible.

About The Venue

The Greensboro Coliseum Complex is a versatile multi‑building facility that serves the community of Greensboro and its surrounding areas. It hosts a wide array of events, such as athletic competitions; cultural arts showcases; concerts; theater performances; educational activities; fairs; and exhibits, as well as public and private gatherings, including conventions; convocations; trade shows; and consumer shows.
