Job summary

Vail Resorts in Crested Butte, CO is seeking a Ticket Checker for the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 season. You will greet guests, validate tickets, and support lift operations to keep lines moving and guests safe.

This role offers $20.00 per hour, full-time hours when available, housing options, free employee passes, ski lessons, and employee discounts, plus training and wellness benefits as part of our mountain team culture.

Qualifications

• Fluent English communication required.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather and stand/move for long periods.
• Able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Capable of handling high guest volumes professionally.
• Adherence to safety standards and procedures.
• May need to provide some personal gear for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver premium guest service with a smile and information.
• Validate tickets to ensure valid products before loading lifts.
• Collaborate with Lift Operators to manage lines and loading.
• Maintain and secure department equipment (scan devices, radios, etc.).
• Escalate issues to leadership when safety or product concerns arise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

As a TicketChecker on the Lift Experience Team, you will help provide a seamless end-to-end guest experience from maze entrance to lift unloading. You will greet guests by name, validate access, and contribute to a fun, welcoming atmosphere while maintaining product integrity.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver premium guest service by providing information and assistance with a smile
• Validate tickets to ensure guests have a valid product before loading lifts
• Work with Lift Operators and other teams to manage lift lines safely and load lifts efficiently
• Maintain and secure department equipment (scan devices, radios, etc.)
• Escalate issues to leadership as they arise (safety, product concerns)
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather, standing and moving for the shift, on potentially slippery or uneven surfaces
• May need to provide some personal gear
