Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring a Ticket Checker on the Lift Experience Team in Colorado for the 2026/2027 winter season. You will validate tickets and greet guests by name, helping to create an experience of a lifetime while supporting a safe, efficient lift operation.

This entry‑level, full‑time seasonal role offers a starting wage of $20 per hour, weekend/holiday shifts, housing availability, and access to Epic Service training for professional development.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English.

• Must provide personal gear if required.

• Able to handle high guest volumes professionally.
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver premium guest service with a smile.
• Validate tickets before loading lifts.
• Cooperate with Lift Operators and other teams to manage lift lines.
• Maintain and secure department equipment.
• Escalate safety or product issues to leadership.

Job Summary

As a Ticket Checker, you play an essential role in creating an experience of a lifetime for guests on the Lift Experience Team. You validate tickets and greet guests by name, while ensuring our products’ integrity.

Job Specifications

• Starting wage: $20.00 hr
• Employment type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027
• Shift type: Full time (8‑10 hr/day)
• Weekends and holidays as needed
• Skill level: Entry level
• Minimum age: 14 years
• Housing availability: Yes

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver premium guest service with a smile.
• Validate tickets to ensure guests have a valid product before loading lifts.
• Cooperate with Lift Operators and other teams to manage lift lines safely and efficiently.
• Maintain and secure departmental equipment (scan devices, radios, etc.).
• Escalate safety or product issues to leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Fluent in English.
• Able to work outdoors in all types of inclement weather and stand/move on potentially slippery or uneven surfaces.
• May need to provide personal gear.
• Available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Able to handle high guest volumes professionally.
• Adhere to safety standards and procedures.
