Job summary

Vail Resorts in Vermont is seeking a seasonal TicketChecker for the 2026/27 winter season. You will greet guests by name, validate access at lift mazes, and help provide a seamless end-to-end guest experience from maze entrance to lift unloading.

The role is winter seasonal with full-time hours available, starting at $20.00/hr. Candidates must be able to work outdoors in varying weather, weekends, and holidays. Housing may be available.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all types of inclement weather, standing and moving for the entire shift on potentially slippery or uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Minimum age: at least 14 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver premium guest service by providing information and assistance with a smile
  • Validate tickets to ensure guests have a valid product before loading lifts
  • Work with Lift Operators and other teams to ensure lift lines are safely managed and lifts are loaded efficiently
  • Maintain and secure departmental equipment such as scan devices and radios
  • Escalate issues to leadership as they arise, from safety to products
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications

A TicketChecker team member may work across multiple departments and roles, including Lift Operations, Mountain Activities, Retail Rental operations, Food and Beverage Support, Ticket sales, or Base Area Operation.

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr. This range reflects typical compensation for this position. Individual decisions are based on a variety of factors.
