Job summary

Vail Resorts in Breckenridge, CO, is seeking a Ticket Checker on the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 Lift Experience Team. You will greet guests by name, validate access, and help create a seamless guest experience from maze entrance to lift unloading.

The role focuses on friendly service, ticket validation, and safe, efficient lift queue management, with 8–10 hour shifts, weekends/holidays, and entry-level requirements. Housing may be available.

Qualifications

  • Ability to interact with guests and provide assistance.
  • Comfort working outdoors in all weather; stand and move entire shift.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver premium guest service with a smile.
  • Validate tickets before loading lifts and ensure product validity.
  • Coordinate with Lift Operators and teams to manage lift lines safely.
  • Maintain and secure equipment (scan devices, radios).
  • Escalate safety or product issues to leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary: As a Ticket Checker, you will play an essential role in creating an experience of a lifetime for our guests on the Lift Experience Team. The Lift Experience Team’s mission is to provide employees and guests with a seamless end‑to‑end experience from maze entrance to lift unloading. As a Ticket Checker, you will primarily work in the lift mazes by greeting guests by name and validating their access every time. You will play a unique role at our resorts by providing a fun, welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring our products’ integrity.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver premium guest service for information and assistance with a smile
  • Validate tickets to ensure guests have valid products before loading lifts
  • Work cooperatively with Lift Operators and other teams to manage lift lines safely and efficiently
  • Maintain and secure departmental equipment: scan devices, radios, etc.
  • Escalate safety or product issues to leadership as they arise
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Ability to work outdoors in all inclement weather, standing and moving entire shift on slippery or uneven surfaces; may need to provide own gear
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Capacity to handle high guest volumes professionally
  • Adherence to all safety standards and procedures (BeSafe is our number one value)
  • Flexible to receive additional cross‑department training (Lift Operations, Mountain Activities, Retail Rental operations, Food and Beverage support, Ticket sales, Base Area Operation)

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr.
