Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team on a PRN basis. You will assess, evaluate and carry out physical therapy programs to restore function and minimize disability for our patients.

This role emphasizes clinical reasoning, clear communication with patients and families, adherence to physician orders, and collaboration with the care team in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
• B.S. or M.S. in Physical Therapy
• Active Florida Physical Therapist license
• Current BLS certification
• Strong customer service and listening skills
• Critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, squat, kneel, lift patients/equipment up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate and plan PT programs to restore function
• Work with patients to minimize disability from disease or injury
• Communicate with patients, families and care team in a respectful manner
• Interpret and implement physician orders in a timely manner
