Hope House Foundation is seeking a part-time Thrift Store Associate in Norfolk, VA. You will welcome shoppers, process sales, and assist donors in a fast-paced retail setting.

Shifts are Wednesday 3:00 PM–6:00 PM, Friday 12:00 PM–6:00 PM, and Saturday 12:00 PM–6:00 PM. Responsibilities include organizing displays, handling donations, and maintaining a clean sales floor with friendly, reliable service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail, customer service, cashier, or thrift store helpful but not required.
• Ability to provide friendly and professional service to shoppers and donors.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail.
• Dependable, punctual, able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers and donors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Operate the cash register and process sales transactions.
• Help unload and process donated items and organize displays.
• Sort, price, tag, and prepare donated items for sale.
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and merchandise displays.
• Support inventory flow and stock rotation; assist with pickups when needed.
