Job summary

The Salvation Army in Chandler is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily operations at our Chandler Thrift Store, drive sales, ensure customer and donor satisfaction, and maintain budgeted profitability.

You will schedule staff, oversee hiring and training, enforce store policies, supervise cash handling, and coordinate safety and loss prevention while fostering a positive team environment. This role requires a CDL? (Note: CDL not required) and strong leadership in retail settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail management or supervisory experience.
• Ability to operate POS/cash register systems and handle cash accurately.
• Strong communication with management, staff, customers and donors.
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct day-to-day operations of the store location.
• Develop strategies to improve customer service, drive sales and profitability.
• Maintain positive Customer/Donor/Community relations and resolve complaints.
• Schedule staff and coordinate shift meetings; supervise employees.
• Hire, train, and discipline staff as needed.
• Ensure inventory levels are adequate and BRP processes are followed.
• Oversee cash handling, banking, and time/attendance reporting.
• Conduct weekly store meetings and participate in monthly district meetings.
• Implement loss prevention measures and maintain safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
