Job summary

The Salvation Army Grand Rapids Thrift Store is seeking a Store Manager to oversee daily operations, lead staff and volunteers, manage inventory and pricing, and create a positive donor and shopper experience. This on-site role requires at least two years of store management, a high school diploma, and ability to pass background checks.

Wage is $45,277 - $50,000 annually, with a Tuesday–Saturday workweek. Candidates must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a dynamic community-focused

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of store management experience.
• Previous experience managing budgets and processing cash.
• Must pass background checks, possess a valid driver’s license, and meet MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing, cash handling, and compliance.
• Supervise staff and volunteers, schedule and train.
• Oversee inventory and merchandising, pricing, and display of donations.
• Drive sales through merchandising and promotions.
• Maintain clean, organized store environment.
• Build donor relations and community partnerships.
